Shiva or Cats Eye is the name given to the door (plate or shield) of a certain type of Snail's shell which serves as protection from predators and from physical and chemical stresses. When they are sealed into their shell sanctuary, they are also protected against dehydrating during drought and dry weather. This is a very special shell offering many metaphysical gifts. You can take a cue to its spiritual properties from its physical properties a natural shield and protection from many elements a doorway/portal to the ethereal realms - you get the idea. I thought these 3 fairy stones i bought were absolutely perfect. But after soaking them with my other crystals they seem to just melt into clay. The second pi ture was everything I ordered my first time experiencing the beauty of their products. Naturally I was so upset when I ruined the beauty of the fairystones perfection. Chadd, one of the owners called me personally and explained perfectly the process of fairy stones creation, and also that incredibly after taking 2 thousand years to form. They can just break down incredibly fast if soaked in water. I had no idea. He did everything he could to make my experience happy. When I saw this piece, I knew I had to purchase it. My friend and I love turtles. We vacation in Aruba and swim with the turtles so this was the perfect piece to give her for her birthday. Very unique piece. Loaded with rainbows but also has needles throughout it also. Not just on the outside but also on the inside of the piece itself. You can actually see them inside the calcite, like they grew inside the crystal as it was forming. So cool. It is a very awesome piece.
