Agni Manitite black textite is also known as Pearl of Fire, and are a rare variety of tektite found on the island of Java, Indonesia. Their colors range from a darker charcoal grey-black to a smoky translucent color. Their name are derived from the ancient Sanskrit term “agni mani”, meaning “pearl of the divine fire”.
Some archaeologists suggest that these glassy Tektites were formed by some sort of atomic explosion while others feel that the Tektite is a natural glass formed from a meteorite impact melting the local rock.
